For JPIAns, this should be the first. Our annual JPIA socialization night used to be something simplistic and the usual formal gathering. Well, of course there was the traditional Search for Mr. And Ms. JPIA with Q&A's with a twist.
But for 3 years in the organization and experiencing the customary, it all became mediocre in my eyes. I want something new. Something to look forward to. Something out of the ordinary -- well, something that I could say as my first.
Then when I tagged along on the officer's informal meeting (they are classmates by the way, so I didn't feel so unwelcome), and Arriane suggested it to be a masquerade ball, my indifference was suddenly gone. I knew that they also share the same predicament with me. They wanted the JPIA night to be special. And I was just too happy that the masquerade ball was well-accepted. (Well, it was a much better option than having a black-and-white-themed party btw.)
So there goes! I even volunteered to put my enthusiasm into work and make a teaser for the Masquerade Ball. Just to add the 'feel' of it to my felow JPIAns. Well, I hope they would buy the idea, while everything is still subject to change.
Just don't take away the Masquerade Ball from me. I am looking forward to it. Just make this year's JPIA Night Special. Just do. And let me put my creative juices to work and design my own mask.
