Six boys have lived all their life believing they were the only son, and their father's only favored child. One has known his father as a starving artist; another, a humanitarian who's saving people in Africa; one's father is out on a business trip in Singapore; another, a furniture salesman in Canada. But what happens when they're all called together in one flashy mansion and see a video of their father who's sick yet surrounded by sexy women?

Ao Quan, Wang Zi, Ah Wei, Wei Lan, Xiao Jie, and Xiao Yu are surprised to realize their father is one womanizer and to top it all, a millionaire with 6 sons from different mothers!!! The brothers' first meeting was not a blissful reunion at all; with them punching each others' faces and calling each and everyone ugly.

Since their father is (terminally) ill, he will be leaving his fortunes ($100,000,000) to his sons on a condition: That the brothers live together as one happy family in one house and they should study on the same school. Several other terms and conditions were also to be followed and they're written in thick pages of more than 4 books!

Initially, the brothers hate each other and what's worse than living under the same roof and sharing a room with a brother is that at room 206 (their classroom) are 9 girls who bully the guys, including the 6 boys who are transfer students.



Brown Sugar Macchiato is a comedy slash romantic series that spans to 13 episodes. You get your eyes flooded with 6 beautiful guys (that's two more compared to F4) and 10 cute girls who are just as beautiful and lovable (and hateful).

Initially, the boys have different personalities but as the series runs along, I get myself confused in identifying each character aside from the fact that they all look alike. Moreover, none of them have a definite (stereotypical) personality. Like someone who's a dark, mysterious loner or a cute, lovable, stuffed animal-like personality who loves chocolates and stuff. It's not really bad though, since I got myself full of those stereotypes. Their personality seems to change in different circumstances: from provoking and aggressive to being a gentleman and sweet. Most of the times, they tend to be funny and comedic to the extent that they look corny (but still cute) and sissy.



What's prevalent in the series are boys kicking boys, boys hitting girls, and girls bullying boys (well, the 10 sisters are friends, so there's no reason for them to hit each other). The series is satiric, chaotic slash violent slash corny, YET funny. I enjoyed watching every episodes and the sound effects add more humor to the scenes.

If you're out looking for a good laugh, then you must watch this. That aside, Brown Sugar Macchiato is one cute and funny romantic comedy that tells tales of brotherhood, friendship, and (bullying?) slash love.
